L.E.D. Active Uplighting System

If you've been looking for that one thing to help set the mood at your reception than this is it! L.E.D. Uplighting is one of the coolest things going these days. We've always been big supporters of mood and dance floor lighting and now we have one more great tool to help create the atmosphere and ambience that you're looking for!

Imagine the lights are scattered around the perimeter of the room, subtly glowing with your reception colors. Now we're ready to start another part of the evening and suddenly, whoa, the entire room has changed color!

This is what we call Active Uplighting. These lights are fully controllable and can create any of 16.7 MILLION COLORS! That means that no matter what shade of plum, or hue of teal you have planned we can drape the room in it! And when it's time to kick things up a notch and get the dancing going, they can dance around the room changing colors, flashing and strobing to get everyone involved!

We're Green!

KT Sound Productions is proud to announce that we have recently upgraded ALL of our lighting equipment to state-of-the-art L.E.D. high efficiency lighting!

This is a very exciting technology for a variety of reasons. First off it allows us to have complete control over the color reproductions of each light to exactly match your decor while also saving on the electric bill! These lights are so efficient that ALL of our L.E.D. lighting combined uses less power than ONE average halogen or discharge lamp lighting that most DJ's use without sacrificing function or brightness. This not on means that we can run more lighting but it is much safer to use in any venue because it doesn't strain the electical systems and produces virtually NO heat.
So no more baking under hot dance floor lights!

2010...Where Art Thou?

So wait a minute...it's 2010 already? The summer is almost over and it's almost the holidays again? Wow my head is spinning!

Well we certainly have been doing a lot of spinning lately! 2010 has had no shortage of great events and big steps for us. Be on the lookout for our new product and service announcements as well as some great new ways to save on your next wedding!

I'm Back!

Okay, okay I knew this has been tough for some of you. Afterall you wake up everyday and think to yourself, "I wonder what awesome events Kendall at KT Sound Productions did over the weekend. I'm going to find out!" You then come to the sad realization that I haven't blogged in over 4 months! I sincerely apologize.

Just because I haven't blogged doesn't mean I haven't been busy. O' contraire in fact. 2009 has been busier than any other year in KTSP's history! We've had some great events and even better people. Birthday parties, Grand openings, Health Fairs, and of course, lots of WEDDINGS!! We even took a trip up the mountain in May to a beautiful wedding in Sedona under the Redrock and partied all night at the Agave Resort there!

There's too much to tell in one post so I made a little video with just SOME of the clips from the events we've done so I'll let it do the talking. Enjoy!

Eric and Hannah Wedding

Yet again at the Shenandoah Mill, we had the wedding of Eric and Hannah. This crowd definitely came ready to party! There was a lovely ceremony with a modest sized crowd and after a delicious meal people were ready to kick up the volume and dance. There was a pretty diverse group of party guests so we had to mix it up a bit during the night to keep everyone happy but they were going right up until the end! Check out the pics and enjoy!

Brian and Carey Wedding

Kicking off the month of March was the wedding of Brian and Carey Ann. It was held at the Shenandoah Mill in Gilbert. March is usually one of the best times of year to be in Arizona and they took advantage of it by having it outdoors.

After a beautiful ceremony the photographer snagged the bride and groom for some pictures. Unfortunately they took a little longer than planned and we nearly had a mutiny with the wedding guests who were wanting to eat! Ok not really but everyone was pretty hungry so we did the grand entrance rather quickly and moved right into the meal.

The bride and groom were wanting something a little more laid back so we were pretty mellow for the first part but were able to crazy things up a bit towards the end of the night. Overall a very fun wedding to do. Thanks you guys!

Brad and Crystal Reception

Kickin' of the month of February was the wedding of Brad and Crystal. The reception was set at the scenic and beautiful Las Sendas Country Club in northeast Mesa. We drove around for about 15 minutes before realizing that we had turned the wrong direction and ended up on the other end of the neighborhood!

All night long the bride was very concerned that once we got to the dancing portion of the evening we wouldn't have enough people there to have fun and keep the dance floor going. I assured her that no matter how big or small the crowd I could get people dancing.

Once we started the dancing portion of the evening people really started getting into it. In fact, we never had an empty dancefloor the whole rest of the night!

Braxton and Jessica Wedding

Well after a crazy weekend and a long week, I'm finally able to post some stuff about my best friend's wedding! The two of them looked great and we had such a good time being a part of their big day. I always have fun doing gigs for people I know and when they are for good friends it makes it that much more special to me.

After the marriage ceremony we spent the next couple hours having fun taking a bunch of pictures and going a grabbing a bite to eat after a long morning. I'll tell you, the look on some people's faces were classic when they saw them come into Applebee's in full tux and wedding gown!

The reception gave me the great opportunity to play some great dancing songs and pick on a good friend a little bit. :) Both he and I have been in a performing ballroom dance group at one point and has helped me out on some of my past gigs.
I had a blast doing this gig and I love both you guys!

Austin and Chelsea Wedding

This last Friday was the wedding of Austin and Chelsea. The reception was held outside in the backyard of Chelsea's parents. Normally I'm a little skeptical about having outside weddings in the winter time, even in AZ, but they planned ahead of time and had plenty of space heaters and warm drinks to keep everyone toasty. Once we got to the dancing portion of the evening it didn't really matter anyway since everyone was dancing so much that it warmed everyone right up!

My wife (and roadie) helped me out to get some of these great balcony shots of the first dance. The backyard was pretty good sized but there were near 500 people so space can fill up real quick with that many bodies. There were a whole lot of younger people there the age of the bride and groom so the party kept going long after the older crowd had called it quits.

These two and their parents were some of the easiest to deal with and some of the most grateful people I've met. Tina, the mother of the bride, had this to say...

"Kendall, Everyone keeps telling us that our Reception was the best and most fun that they have ever been to. They all say you are the best DJ. Thanks Soooo Much for making Austin & Chelsie's big day the BEST!!!!"

If these last two weddings are any indication of what 2009 is going to be like for me and KT Sound Productions than I'm in for a great year with lots of great parties! Stay tuned for lot more to come in the coming months as we head into spring in the Valley!

I had almost forgotten I had video on my camera so this doesn't show the main part of the night but you get the idea. :)

Brian and Breanna Wedding

Wow what a way to kick off 2009 than with a great wedding! Last night was the wedding of Brian and Breanna. This was a fantastic couple and a wonderful family. Since they had both been off at school up until the couple weeks before the wedding, I had only had the opportunity to meet with Bree's mom Debbie. She was one of the most grateful people I've had the opportunity to work with and also one of the most fun!
When I first got there we had to do a little bit of rearranging with the tables since I had been put in the far back corner opposite the dance floor. After explaining the reasoning for being closer to the dance floor we got back on track and were set up in time for the first guests to arrive.
After the receiving line there was a musical number by some very talented friends for the lucky couple and then we proceeded to the first dances. We had set up a projector and screen for a specially prepared photo slideshow to be shown during the first dance which made for the perfect mood setter for the evening.

It didn't take long after opening up the dancefloor before we had the whole place hoppin' things just rolled along from there. In fact we all lost track of the time a little and before we knew it, they were having me stay for an extra hour! After the event I heard several people discussing how much they loved different parts of the evening and the different things that I did during the night. Several people grabbed my business cards and the mother of the bride, Debbie, said there were several others who were interested in getting my cards as well for their son's and daughter's weddings coming up. That is the best compliment I could get. I truly enjoy what I do otherwise I wouldn't do it. The mother of the groom said she doesn't normally like going to receptions because they're always boring but that this was the funnest reception she's ever been too! What more can I say...I probably had as much fun as you guys doing this wedding. Thanks! And thank you Debbie for everything! You guys were a blast!

Here's a real short video of some of the fun...

Christmas Party

This last Saturday I DJ'd a Christmas party held at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in downtown Tempe, AZ. This was going to be my last gig of 2008 and it definitely delivered on excitement! They're a small company and the party was comprised of about 15 employees and their spouses or dates. You couldn't have told by the amount of partying going on!

One of the main parts of the evening was karaoke provided by me. Once the party started going we didn't stop until the end and people had a blast!

Clint and Jodi Wedding

Well now that the weather has cooled off, it wouldn't be winter until I've had an outdoor wedding! This beautiful wedding was held at Stonebridge Manor in Northeast Mesa on the front terrace on November 11th. This is typically about the end of the biggest wedding season and this was the last one I had booked for 2008. It has been a great season and I am looking forward to a small vacation and then a very busy 2009!

Clint and Jodi are a very fun couple. Jodi wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and it showed at the reception. There was a fairly large crowd of over 300 people which made it pretty complicated getting everyone through the receiving line. The actual reception was only supposed to go for 2 hours, but after an hour and half only about half of the guests had made it through the receiving line and many of them had been in line for over half an hour! I spoke with the bride and groom and they agreed to let the rest of the bridal party except parents leave the line to hopefully get people through faster. Everyone was just so excited to talk to the couple that it was still taking a long time. Eventually they ended up having to walk back up the line to get through everyone and we ended up with hardly any time for the rest of the night activities!

After speaking with the father of the bride they booked me for an additional hour to get everything in. It ended up working out in the end and everyone left feeling great and having had a lot of fun!

Todd and Jennie Reception

Ok I've finally gotten the opportunity to blog about Todd and Jennie's Wedding! This wedding seemed like a long way off when they booked me but it came up really fast! When I spoke with them initially there were them, both sets of parents, a grandma, and I think someone else and it seemed like I was the only one talking the entire time! They struck me as very quiet, reserved people so when they mentioned to me that they were wanting a LOT of dancing and fun I was a little skeptical. I left that meeting thinking that it would be a pretty average wedding with a pretty quiet bunch. Boy did they prove me wrong!

This turned out to be one of the funnest weddings I've had this season! Pretty much every song I played had someone out there dancing and everyone was out on the dance floor for at least a couple songs.

At the end of the evening everyone said how much fun they had and I was proven wrong. I think I have now become the official DJ at this church building! Either way it was a great evening and another great couple starting out together, and I was greatful to be a part of it!

Eugene and Vacencia Wedding

This time of year becomes more and more busy for me, both personally and professionally. As such it has been a week and I haven't blogged about this and Jennie and Todd's Weddings! Well here it is!

Gene and Vacencia's wedding was a very simple small reception with only close family and friends really attending. They were a very nice and gracious couple which made for an enjoyable evening.

They were mostly looking for background music during most of the evening but anyone who knows me knows that I like to get people out of their comfort zones a bit to have fun in ways they didn't know they every would! After the first dances and a quick YMCA though they were mostly done and headed out pretty quick. Another one in the books!

Testimonials
